In the beginning...

Dear earth lovers and tree huggers,

It all started from the love of the earth and the sea, and how heart broken I am to watch how the modern day civilizations slowly destroy and pollute the environment day by day. Forget about your kids. I don’t even know how am I going to spend my retirement days without having to breath in carbon monoxide pollution from the air and to have to swim with the unbelievable amount of non-biodegradable trash and toxic waste at the sea, because even now I am already doing it and it is only the year 2013.

It then continues on to how I no longer able to use liquid body soaps from prominent brands in the market that are known for its 'natural ingredients' marketing gimmicks. I experienced allergic reactions following the use of the products on my skin and realized that the composition of the products is actually a mixture of various petrochemicals. 

It dawned on me too that the primary causes of many deadly diseases are from the food we consume. The fertilizers and other chemical preservatives used in the agricultural farming process eventually affects our state of health and in the long term may induce carcinogens to develop. After a while, I began to realize that I should change my lifestyle habits and more importantly, choices of products that I consume daily for the betterment of my health and the environment too. 

So I decided to create myself my own planet, whereby everything produced by and/or curated under this planet shall be a great contribution for the society due to its organic nature that will at least, make the Earth a happier place in the future for not only myself, but the future generations to come.

THE PHILOSOPHY...

The philosophy is simple.

Planet Organik aims to be the ultimate home for all natural, home made, organic products made in Indonesia that are personally tested and curated by the Founder herself. By partnering intimately with the suppliers, we strive to produce the best products we can deliver for customers who are willing to pay a premium price for a better lifestyle.

Planet Organik aims not only to serve customers the best organic products for personal use but also for home and industrial use. These products are chemical free (non-pesticide) and made by the Indonesian people in remote areas or coastal villages that needs the employment to increase their social welfare. Buying our products also means supporting small home industries across the country also strengthening the local produce quality and quantity.

CHARITY…

10% of each sale will also be donated for Women Build Habitat for Humanity Indonesia Program. A charity in which I sit as one of the Committee Members of the Board with five other inspiring women leaders of Indonesia where we strive to gather funding to build houses for low income families across Indonesia for Rp 25 million per unit/family.

HOW WE CAN MAKE CHANGES….

In the future, Planet Organik aims to become more than just a retail shop as it visions itself to be an integral commercial association that will influence changes in society by educating the consumers to make wise and conscious decisions through its collection of organic products.

In today's age, we must realize that we have to change our pattern of consumption in order to safe the environment and ourselves from environmental degradation as such action, that is our choice of products consumption, becomes detrimental relative to the increasing ecological breakdown that the Earth is experiencing currently.

Firstly, Planet Organik aims to target such consumer products that closely affect environmental pollution especially water and sea pollution.

Toxic items that are being flushed out to the waste water system and consequently, to the sea, will eventually destroy our ecological defenses. It will first destroy the underwater life, affects fisheries, induce health diseases from such chemical contamination in the areas and eventually decrease our limit of fresh water sources for survival.

Planet Organik wishes to produce a range of chemical free, natural and biodegradable products that are needed for daily ritual habits for personal and home uses. By reducing the usage of chemicals/petrochemicals in the consumption products market, it will be safer for the Earth and Sea also faster for the soil/environment to regenerate as organic chemistry are easier to breakdown in its purest form.

Secondly, Planet Organik aims to reprogram the modern society's dietary consumption pattern and/or behavior by providing natural organic products that are safe to consume, especially those with health issues or severe illness.

Food consumption affects one's state of health and biochemistry immensely and food has become the primary cause of many deadly illnesses since many people are consuming the wrong food for themselves.

Planet Organik wishes to educate and re-program these segmented market behavior by introducing them the same commercial products, which contains no chemical and preservatives so it is safer to consume in the longer term for health purposes.

Planet Organik strives to be the very first umbrella that can curate all of the organic products available in the Indonesian archipelago, made by its great people, for different uses and purposes, that are biodegradable in nature and also safe to consume for the skin, healthy for the body and good for the happy soul in every one of us. By consuming these natural organic products, we allow our body to be re-programmed so it can be accustomed with the natural ingredients we need daily. Eventually, our dependency on certain petrochemicals will fade away as our body adjusts itself to the organic chemistry introduced to our system.

Thirdly, Planet Organik aims to also serve the industrial sector as hospitality and manufacturing industry are increasing in Indonesia and high-grade toxic chemicals are used daily for their operational purposes.

To name a few business operations, such as medical, hospitality, manufacturing, food and beverages that prioritize hygiene cannot avoid the use of high-grade chemicals for such purposes. 

Nonetheless, if organic materials can fulfill a certain percentage of their needs, Planet Organik wishes to be able to fill that market gap to offer them efficiency in their operational expenses.

Planet Organik also provide organic fertilizers (compost) needed for other industrial purposes such as plantations or organic farming.  

THE PHILOSOPHY OF ORGANIC SUSTAINABILITY…

By using organic products for your business operations, you have participated in environmental conservationism and sustainability. In the future, one cannot avoid such obligation, as the waste you throw out will be equal to the loss you make in your business. Environmental degradation will not only kill the ecosystem, but it will eventually kill your business too as logistics will be the first one to experience its impact. These dramatic shift of lifestyle pattern need to start from ourselves and Planet Organik wishes to educate and introduce the philosophy so society can start making the smart, conscious decision on their choices of products used for their daily ritual activities (such as staple food and showering) and for their home usage (such as detergent and dish washing liquid) or even for their industrial usage (such as fertilizers and organic disinfectant agents). Surely, all these do not come economically but the damages will be more costly in the longer term if we don’t change now

Besides, there is nothing wrong with being an organiker.

Better choices lead to better lives, better lives lead to a happier soul and a happier soul enjoys life much more.
